We are going to miss you Crispi

Today we are losing one of out interns Crispi. She is going back to school in florida. She only interned for 3 weeks but it seemed longer. SHe fit in very well with the staff and was a joy to work with. She learned everything we taught her and she learned it well. Her teat shoots were amazing. She would of been shooting here on a regular basis in no time at all. We could go on and on about how great she is but i think our point is pretty clear.

Crispi we miss you and we hope you come back soon.

Here are a few pics of her.
You can see what crispi is up to now a days at her website. http://thatscrispi.com/

It's Been A While

So it has been a long while since we have posted on the blog. It is for a lot of reasons. First and foremost is that building we called home for 4 years was condemned by union city NJ. it was condemned because they had outdated fire alarms. the city gave us 36 hours to move out. So we did and we lost a lot of money and shoots because of that. So in 3 weeks we found a new home and then as luck would have it they had an electrical problem and we were without electricity for the rest of the year. so we had no choice but to close. I will post a video with all the details later but for now please enjoy a video we made a few years ago.

Mayra Santander PhotoShoot

*note* this post is a 2 weeks behind. We have been busy preparing for the studio's first short film.

We recently did a shoot with a model from modelmayhem Mayra Santander. She came in to do 3 sets. We had a great time shooting her. SHe was a bit shy in person but when it came time to shoot she did a great job. Her shoot went quickly and we had a good time shooting her.

Here are some pics from her shoot:

Shannon Anderson

We posted this blog a few weeks late because we are gearing up for the studio's first short film. This being said when we have more information to post we will keep you updated.

We had a TFP shoot scheduled on June 25th with a model we had worked with before but a few days before the shoot she called us and canceled so we decided to post a casting on MM and hope for the best. Our casting was for a sexier style shoot (Fashion/Glamour, FHM/MAXIM Style, Alternative/Punk, Lingerie  Artistic Nudes/Implied Nudes). We had a few responses but one stood out, her name is Shannon Anderson. She is a commercial model but wanted to expand her portfolio and try something different.

We can not say enough good things about Shannon. She was on time, professional, came prepared, easy to get along with, funny and most importantly she really knew her craft. From the first set the the last she had an amazing amount of energy. The first set was headshot and she was amazing in each and every shot. It was very difficult for us to find the one we wanted to post. Her other sets were the ones that she wanted to help her expand her port. the Lingerie sets were elegant and beautiful. The Lingerie sets went a little longer than normal because we were trying to get the perfect sexy body shot. It took a little while but we were able to get one that we really like. The Last set was an implied nude and they were in a word amazing.

We loved having Shannon in the studio and can  not wait till we can shoot with her again. We would highly recommend her to any photographer, or publication that is looking for an amazing model with a great look.

5am Sing-a-long

We have been working on a lot of stuff for our website and we have fallen a little behind in our blog posts. So to give you guys a little bit better understanding of how hard we have been working. We decided to post a video of some of our goofiness that happens after working an 18 hour day.

We were archiving and cataloging a weekends worth of work and playing random songs on our Itunes when "Day-O (The Banana Boat Song)" by Harry Belafonte came on. Jon Lee and Lady Live stood up and decided to put on a show. We video taped it and have been laughing about it ever since.

Here is the video.

Deadikated Music Video

Today we are debuting the song and music video we made for the band K-NOTAH (pronounced "Que Notah"). We shot tis video over the memorial day weekend and edited it few days later. It was an easy shoot. although it was a hot one. Our exhaust fans we not working that day so it was about 105 degrease in the studio, and the lights didn't help.

We decided to make the video in a rough low budget way as they were made with amy classic hip hop bands such as Run Dmc, Big Daddy Kane, Public Enemy, Eric B. & Rakim. We wanted the performances of the artist to shine through. We think they did an amazing job. you can tell that they truly love performing.

This Band is especially important to all of us here in the studio because KJ is one of the videographers here at the studio and Tony is Carlos A's friend since childhood.

So with out further delay here is the Video:

Busy Memorial Day Weekend

We have had a VERY busy weekend. We have run one of our poor photographers ,Carlos A., raged on Friday. We had him do a studio shoot with a sweet 16 court at 4PM and then do the first half of a wedding at 5PM and then shoot a first time model at 1AM. I know it is a very odd time to start a shoot but she was brought in by one of our staff members KJ and that was the only time she had to shoot. The good thing was that our product photographer John Lee was around so he gave Carlos a hand.

On Sat we had to make a song to add to a soundtrack for a short film. We would up making 5 tracks and only like one of them. So after a few tweaks and keeping the same theme we did with the other songs we crated for the film we sent the client a rough cut. Then at 5 in the afternoon we did a small studio session with K-Notah and recorded a behind the scenes video for them. Then at midnight we proceeded to start shooting there first music video. 4 hours later we were done shooting.

Sunday was another long day. Were editing several projects and were prepping for a shoot with a reggaeton artist from queens. He later called and canceled the shoot. So we just continued editing till 6PM. Then we started the selection of photos for the studio's new photo book.

Monday is a slow day we are going to go shopping for supplies cause are almost out of everything. Which normally would not be a big thing but the traffic is going to be brutal....

Normally we only have 4 photos per post but since we have have shoot so much this weekend we decided decided to post a few more then normal.

Here are few pictures from our shoots:

Tiger Shoot

Cait from Cait's Paints gave us a call and wanted to do a unique concept. She wanted to do a an Abercrombie & Fitch style shoot with body painting. I loved the concept. She went on to further explain that it would be with a male model in tiger body paint.

So after the paint we just shot in that style and got some very interesting pics. Our model Brian was alot of fun to shoot with. He had great energy and was making jokes and laughing thought the shoot. He followed direction very well and did many different poses quickly and professionally. It wasn't till after the shoot we found out this was his first time in front of the camera. We are definitely going to shoot him again.

Here is a quick behind the scenes video of the shoot and some pics from the shoot:
